The howling sands swirl past you as the buggy charges forward into the storm. Beside you, the driver - your friend, Maxim - holds fast to the steering wheel.
"Maybe we should turn back!"
[[next]]Maxim turns to look at you - his goggles are caked with sand.
"Your call, man. There's no way to tell how big this thing is."
It's time to consider options. [[Further]] into the dust to complete your mission? Or turn back and [[return]], dragging your feet.It's dangerous ahead, but you have a job to do. You turn to Maxim and shout over the wind.
"The mission is more important! Keep going!"
[[next->Further2]]It's too risky. You tell Maxim as much and he agrees.
He turns the car round and you return to the Library.
[[again?->Start]]The car begins to shake violently as the winds batter it. But Maxim manages to wrest control and you continue along the ridge.
After a few minutes, you begin to make out the shape of a [[structure ahead]]."You see that? Slow down!"
Maxim does as you ask and slows the buggy. He peers ahead, unsure.
The structure starts to reveal itself. An arc of metal juts out of the sand. Maxim pulls the vehicle up alongside of it.
[[next->gate]]The two of you bundle out of the car, wordlessly. Your coats flap wildly in the storm.
"This looks like it."
"How can you tell?" Maxim asks.

[["Well, it's where they said it would be."->there]]Suddenly, the ring springs to life - previously unnoticable lights start to activate and a shimmering portal begins to form in the centre.
You stand in awe.
